Nick Solak was a 50 grade speed guy and is 98th percentile in sprint speed according to Baseball Savant. Nick Madrigal had a 60 speed grade and is in the 77th percentile. I wonder how the scouts could have gotten it so wrong.

Strongly agree. My little league coach’s philosophy about hitting the cut off man would resonate with Stone though lol.

Was Gallo really going to score with how hard that ball was hit?  He was already pulling up at third with the action in front of him...I guess you can count it as a run saved but you’d think 75-80% of LFers would end up with the same result.  Unless they just had a Juan Pierre, Eloy or Scotty Pods arm.
