Because you theoretically are going down with your best bullpen pitcher who is being paid 55 million instead of arguably the worst arm in the pen basically punting the game?

Second game they blew quickly in the bottom of the 9th due to pitching Foster or Marshall instead of Hendriks.

Problem isn't even that these guys don't know much about baseball but that they don't even want to learn. To them, every decision can be second guessed so therefore no decision is questionable. Zero analytical thinking, it's a wonder you can even make it through life with a mindset like that.

Or pull a Costanza and do the opposite of what he's thinking will work.

Greg... that might be the best damn thing you've ever posted and I fully endorse it.

Tony has done nothing this year to show he’s not a dumb guy now.  It’s honestly baffling how many stupid decisions he makes on and off the field.

Tony only makes the winning decisions.  Everything else Is on the players not having enough TWTW.

One question for the TLR stans:

Why didn’t he shift against Judge?

Same for Cruz, JD Martinez and other dead pull hitters? Kinda curious how you can rationalize that.

Because they didn't shift in 1985.

If Hendriks held them in the 9th, who pitches for the Sox in the 10th with a ghost runner at second, nobody out?

Hendriks again?

You can question every decision you want. The Sox just got beat in a close game that could have gone either way.

Vaughn hitting into the triple play was brutal. It is what it is. Try to beat Cole tomorrow.

It's really impressive trolling. He has had like half of the entire board at his throat for a full week now

He has been struggling lately, but this sounds like a neejerk reaction to the triple play. That ball was smoked, it was incredibly unlucky to hit into a triple play there

I wouldn't say it was incredibly unlucky . Vaughn did pretty much what the Yankees wanted him to do. They obviously wanted at least a DP and more than likely I'm going to guess that was an inside splitter to Vaughn to try to get him to hit it on the ground to the left side. He obliged.

Marshall is our worst reliever nowadays with an ERA over 6.  Should have been our last option.  Even Ruiz is better and should be added to the list above.  Another brutal TLR decision, wasting Rodon masterpiece.

Big difference being the Yankees are the home team here.

Still Marshall is our worst reliever with an ERA over 6.  This was One of the worse TLR decisions of many.  I thought Ventura and Ricky were terrible managing the bullpen but TLR is even worse.

What are you even talking about? They don't want to learn the Game? It's a wonder you make it through the day, cause it seems you live for shitting on other people. You can spend time better

That was a game we should have won but mishaps on both sides of the game as well as the obvious killed us.

Nice to see us playing at a high level against probable playoff talent.

Tighten it up. Come back and battle tomorrow. Take it as a learning opportunity.

And yes... TLR vomit.

( Can that just be his nickname now? Vomit. )

Yes, that is what I'm saying. And it is evident. Sorry, but I'm going to call a spade a spade. As Rey already said, it's like being the guy with 30 years experience who somehow knows very little about the job. But it's the unwillingness to even try to understand the facets of the game and just be dismissive of every criticism that is telling.
