To sum up your 2021 thoughts: Yermin had completely arrived as a major leaguer after 100 at bats or so, but 3 or 4 bad at bats in between .900 OPS weeks in the midst of a stellar career is all it takes for you to consider Jose terrible again, right?

Really it all speaks for itself.

Kind of a dumb topic. So do any hitters consistently excel in high pressure situations over time? My guess is no. The fact that 3 hits in 10 at bats in baseball is good tells me the math is against all players in the long run in high pressure situations.

Guess what? Jose consistently knocks in a ton of runs. Oh I forgot, RBIs mean nothing in modern baseball anymore. Good luck in the future having ANYBODY qualify for the Hall of Fame with so many categories now meaningless cause of the advanced stat lovers. I guess we'll only go by home runs for hitters. Jose even does OK there.

Jose is a good ballplayer; case closed. He deserves the $$ that have made him rich.
