Bruises are often worse than they sound. like i said in the game thread i bruised my shoulder once and was convinced i broke my collarbone - i was playing bball and got trucked. I tried to shoot a free throw to test it out and literally yelled in pain. I went right to the emergency room and xrays were negative - a bruise. It took a couple weeks to heal. Mitch Haniger's injury likely won't lead to trip to IL | The Spokesman-Review haniger missed 3 games - but he fouled it off his knee which isn't quite as intense as a 96 mph fastball to the knee.
