Leury has a 90 wRC+ this year and has averaged an 89 since 2017.  The other three guys have combined for roughly the same amount of plate appearances as Andrew Vaugh, so doubtful they’d be able to inflate our team wRC+ all that much anyways.  Regardless, Goodwin is at 106 this year vs. a career 102, while Hamilton is at 72 vs. a career 67.  Engel has greatly out-produced his career numbers, but it’s been 79 PA’s.  Basically, you just make stuff to fuel your pessimism.

Which is my only beef with Jack - he acts like his pessimism is data driven, but in reality it's just nonsense made up in his mind that is constantly disproven and he just moves the goal posts to something else.

It'd be nice if Goodwin somehow came through here.

Alright, here’s where Goodwin wins the second base competition

much needed levity on a night the sox could retreat to only 8.5 games up.

Wait…Rick Hahn is here???

I mean...the amount of noise we made on here when Manny Machado signed with the Padres it seemed like he was because he had to address it

Goodwin or Collins - slim pickens for options.

Or pickings…

Luckily we won the game yesterday or we’d be staring at a 1-6 run.

When your bench is Hamilton, Goodwin, Sheets, Collins........you don't exactly have a plethora of options.

Hard to watch this team in its current slump. Needs a shot of viagra.

That ball was actually pretty well hit. But then again, it was a hanging curveball.

Goodwin needs to go when Robert is back. His bat is ice cold and he can't play defense. He lost that magic touch.

Goodwin hit that 390 feet. That's probably a homer at GRate.

We are struggling to beat the bottom dwellers of the AL Central, and by extension, the league.

Staring a best-case scenario split against the Twins and now Royals.

Yeah, playoff teams don't do that.
