On the other side of the coin, he made brilliant deals when trading away Sale, Quintana and Eaton. Is he now looking at what the players he got in those deals have become and afraid to trade away prospects who could have similar success? Or Semien (8th in fWAR while Tatis, Jr. is 6th) . Couldn't be Bassitt , Narvaez 3.0 fWAR ( as much as Moncada) or Escobar . Those happened long ago.
