The big benefit of Hernandez is he’s significantly better against RHP than Leury. Since 2017 he’s put up a 104 wRC+, while Leury is only at 80. That is a massive improvement and provides the potential for a pretty good platoon at 2B given Leury’s strength against LHP (108 wRC+ over the same time period).
