Haha it bugs me.  It’s not Chicago White.  Why does Chicago need two letters when the nickname has two words. 😆

Haha that's fair. When I was a kid I always got excited when I saw CWS because I thought they were going to start talking about the Sox, but I usually was quickly disappointed when they started discussing the College World Series lol.

need STL to bounce LA tomorrow and I'll be 2/2 so far, plus it makes the playoffs way more interesting imo

A-Rod is so bad.

Listening to the broadcast on ESPN 2 has been pretty enjoyable.

Yeah, Dodgers getting knocked out makes these playoffs a true tossup.

This is good and bad. I think yankees would have beaten Rays...giving Sox HFA. I don't think Red Sox will though and expect us vs Rays in ALCS.

Going to be a lot of baseball fans rooting for a Rays-White Sox ALCS.  If it’s Astros-Red Sox, hard pass.

Watching this just emboldens my view that our Sox are built for a long playoff run.  Even the Red Sox flaws were on display here.

Boston pitching is very average. Sale is not overpowering since he returned and their pen does not have a true closer since Barnes went out in early Sept. I think Rays pitching could be the difference.

Boston does have a lot of guys w playoff experience.

Hope they go 5 and wear each other out a little.

Even in defeat the Yankees are arrogant.  Boone in the postgame just now:  “this shows the league is closing the gap on us.”  Uh, you are the wildcard loser.  You didn’t win the AL last year.  The Yankees are not the standard in the AL against which other teams are measured, despite what ESPN tells you.  Worry about making the f’ing playoffs next time.

Also, “there’s….some teams in the Central who are getting better now.”  No mention of the Sox.  Well, he can watch us this week from home and get acquainted.

Looking at our pitching, my nerves have calmed a lot.  Mostly healthy, and LaRussa and Katz should be primed to pick the correct option at anytime.  Hopefully the D stays consistent, can't have any follies out there.
