Well he should've had a long wait this winter if he expected 200mil.

Well sounds like he got at least $175

Players and agents aren't looking to screw themselves and settle for $85M when they can sign for $70M-$100M + more?

Plus he has no state income tax to deal with, so another 5% + bump.

He just got a 1yr/18mil deal last year.  Sorry..I didn't think it was obvious he'd be getting 150mil plus.

If that is indeed the case- I hope the WSox didn't spend much time.

Probably would have got there but instead set a deadline and signed relatively quickly while only missing his target price by 25M or like 14%.

Valued security and insight prior to the lockout over maximizing his payday.

Sounds fair for a part time player. You cannot pay the guy full value. 7/ 100.

After thinking about it some more, I think 7 years is too much for a guy that is 31 years old. That contract takes him to 38 years old. I wouldn’t give that out to someone that’s only had 2 good years and he’s going to a large ballpark.

Can we get a Conforto signing White Sox?  Or a Starter?  I need my fix.

Shared with a couple on here that last night I got a text that a big name was pretty much signed (not with the Sox) and that a lot of pieces would fall into place today. Seems like solid info. Same person says Kimbrel deal close, FWIW.

  • Thanks 2
