So Alvarez is actually a slightly better hitter vs LHP than RHP.

But Crochet made him look silly yesterday.

Should have never stayed in after Altuve

He didn’t have anyone warming, which was pretty dumb.

Giolito battled, but I would have pulled him a batter early.  I absolutely hate bringing guys in with a runner on second and less than two outs.  Outside of the elite guys, always assume they will give up at least one hit in an inning.

I agree. Crochet vs. Brantley, Bregman, and Alvarez would have made more sense.

Gio was less than stellar today

Are you kidding me? Those first two runs were mostly on the defense. He was fine considering the situation

He just said "garden-variety southpaw" everybody needs to flip their shit NOW

As a lefty I'm personally offended and I don't feel safe now. Boycott.

You've never heard that Bigfoot howl?  Damn that's a shame.  It sounds like this "OOOOOOOOAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGHHHHH!"  BTW that's awesome you guys have that cultural element.  I used to be into the native literature stuff.  David Thompson, etc.  I should visit sometime.  I bet its awesome.  BTW I don't agree with TLR pulling Gio just for the record.

You let him actually face Alvarez...what?

Hell of an effort from Gio tho. He killed it

This.  Ultimate competitor.  What a crazy thought it is, to think back to his first year here and how we (mostly all) thought he was garbage.  What a stud.  Best rebound story of a SP I've seen with the Sox since Jose Contreras and Loaiza with the cutter, and Thornton.  Gio is a fucking stud.

I love Costas, Kaat and Showalter.

Very few credit Kitty as a twice 20 game winner for the Sox. He was a hurry up pitcher.

Gotta give Houston hitters a lot of credit. They rarely fished for stuff out of the zone with 2 strikes.

It’s almost like they know what’s coming

Crochet has pitched back to back games 3 times this year and given up a run every single time in the 2nd outing. Why can't people who didn't pitch yesterday pitch?

He already got a look at Crochet. This is why some didn't want Crochet to pitch in a 6 run game yesterday.

High stress environment against the best offense in baseball, he did what was needed out of him today.

he should never have started the inning

Easy to say now but 2 posters asked everyone what to do and I know it's a fast moving thread so there's an excuse but only 1 answered that question when it was asked .
