The highlight was him asking if they knew what Turner hits with 2 strikes. And then what Muncy hits against lefties. As if he actually knew...

Because the answer to those questions says....you pitch to Turner.

Maybe TLR will drunk drive tonight at the White Sox charity event and end our misery.

Let's not hope he drives drunk but instead falls asleep behind the wheel before starting to drive and someone takes his picture and it goes viral.

Was busy working all day and thought by the box score that, oh man, Burger had a rough error and then the bullpen did it.

Then MLB app was like "you gotta see this shit that La Russia did."

Dude is only a Hall of Fame baseball person because of steroids and prime Albert Pujols.

And his work with animal charities...

TLR's managing philosophy can just basically be summed up as:

- Play to handedness matchups, ignore reverse splits.

- Starters have to try and go 100 pitches no matter what.

- New rules are for nerds.

- Respect the "unwritten" rules.

- Second leadoff hitter is important, because NL style pre-DH.

Lead off hitter must be short.

After this season, it's going to be REALLY interesting when stuff starts to leak. Especially if TLR is out the door.

Very true. Would love to know what Mendick was saying to Freeman.

He had that look of like yea, we deal with this **** every day.

The Phillies fired Girardi a week ago. They were 8 games under .500. They were a few games back of the Sox. They're now a game up on the Sox and haven't lost since Girardi's firing.

I don’t expect the Sox to win 80% of the time once this clown leaves, but the sooner the better. It’s getting ridiculous. I knew he would be hated, not just because of the DUIs, and pompous attitude, but because he did the same stuff when he was here before. The vast majority were happy he was fired, and the Sox played a little better after he was gone. He may be worse now because at least back then he didn’t have HOF baseball person thing to pump up his ego.

The question I would have for Tony is if it’s such an obvious move why did he have to wait for 1st base to be open? He was really gambling with 3 pitches to Turner. His press conference should embarrass the franchise. It’s like Terry Bevington is back

Do you see any value in gaining the force at any base by walking him?

With 2 outs? No. None. Zero. You're one strike away from getting out of the inning. Get him to chase one bad pitch, or get a favorable call on a pitch 3 inches off the plate and you're home free. On any given ball hit into play, the odds of getting a ground ball that can produce an out at 2nd but not at 1st are incredibly tiny.

The question was why wait for first base to be open? The reason intentional walks usually happen is by filling first base you set up forces. Stepping on second or third is usually an easier out than throwing to first.

TLR really seems to make at least one mistake per game. It’s easy to second guess, but there have been so many times where a defensive replacement or pinch runner or pinch hitter is the obvious move, and he doesn’t do it. It’s sad that the game thread crew is actually smarter than our manager.

Walking a guy who isn’t an absolute beast with a 1-2 count with two outs is indefensible. Even if it was Trout or Bonds batting, you’d at least have the pitcher try to get him to chase something.

I don’t know. I guess Sox fans can’t have nice things.

With 2 outs runners are going full gas right on contact. They don't have to hesitate to check whether or not it might be a ball in the air that could be caught. In any case, not even bothering to use your best lefty and then making a decision based on platoon advantage makes it even worse.

And they aren’t even mistakes. They are like mind-blowing game altering gaffes. Continually batting awful players at the top of the lineup, his stubbornness with handedness, continually putting Sousa in when just started a rally. It is endless.  And they are things that other people are just dumbfounded by. Even Steve Stone of all people are questioning the moves. Enough is enough with this nonsense. Glad I am going on vacation away from this BS.

Again then why didn’t he do it when 1st base wasn’t open? If Turner was a near lock to do damage even at 1-2, and Muncy was an easy out, who cares if you put a runner in scoring position. The other thing is you had an umpire calling pitches 2 or 3 inches off the plate strikes all afternoon.
