With Pollock already out for a leave for a few days, hopefully this is just roster spot management vs a bad sign.

They can make it retroactive to 4/9 right? So he would be able to come back on 4/19?

I think we should be avoiding playing Pollock on cold weather days.

I actually think he got hurt because he hustled. He took a pretty aggressive turn around 1st base and looked liked he grabbed his hammy after he put on the brakes very quickly. It still might have something to do with the weather. Some stretching and a long jog to keep the muscles warm might help and also some tiger balm slathered all over arms , legs back , hips and stomach probably wouldn't hurt either. Imagine the smell in the clubhouse and dugout it everyone did that . ;)

The computer models are still pretty varied as far as intensity, but it does look like 5-7 pm would be the most likely time for storms with the rain moving out by 10pm.

What they should do: Postpone the game by early afternoon before people start heading to the ballpark.

What they will do: Wait until about 7:00 when they've sold an hour's worth of food and drink before postponing the game.

Hoping we get baseball tomorrow.

Don't rush giolito back. The other teams in the division are improved but still only projected for around 500, sox can afford to rest him a little longer and make sure it is fully healed.

Eno sarris said in a podcast that he likely will miss 4-5 starts and that is fine as long he is healthy in the summer

If he’s still experiencing discomfort sure keep him sidelined, but otherwise this seems like an awfully long and somewhat arbitrary amount of time to keep him out for what is hopefully a very minor muscle pull associated with ramping up for the season.
