Can’t wait to see Lynn back in the rotation. This starting rotation is absolute filth when healthy. It’s a big reason why, combined with the fact that the division sucks, that the Sox won’t fall out of the playoff race. Starting staff is too good to allow that unless they get socked with more injuries.

Except we are at least three weeks away from that happening still.

The first decision will clearly be between Cueto Keuchel and VV.

With the Twins' extremely easy schedule this month, just staying within 5-6 games would be a pretty big accomplishment considering how ugly things looked a week ago.

Waiting a few weeks for Lynn isn’t a big deal when there’s still 20+ weeks left in the season as long as they stay relatively healthy after that.

I’m very curious to see how Vince looks this weekend. If he’s anywhere near his last outing, the Sox may have solved their #5 starter question for the rest of this season.

Lol what are you talking about.  Did the twins suddenly get good players and a pitching staff?  We’ll pass them within a week or two.

We shall see.  Ryan has been one of the ten best in the AL and clearly top rookie pitcher.  Then it's Ober, Sonny Gray, Paddack, Bundy, Archer.

It all comes down to the back ends.

White Sox clearly the advantage a cross the top 3 guys.

We can make a house/ban bet...but the White Sox have the much more difficult schedule and half a team.

Weeks ago, you predicted 109...yes, 109 wins.

Nobody else at SoxTalk is predicting over 95 that I have seen.

That's still with the AL Central statistically the easiest division in MLB.

Great win though not worthy of Benetti's speech of joy after the final out. It was merely a super, clean victory.

I was surfing and saw on the Web tweets or stories about Gio saying the Sox turning it around after losing to the Angels. Man any articles about the Sox turning anything around are a little premature. A 3-game win streak is nice but cmon, means nothing. Especially as the injuries continue to pile up. If Sox can win six, seven in a row I'll say they turned stuff around. Right now they are still a beat-up team trying to do its best.

Sano being injured and their pitching is starting to come back to earth.

Sano has been one of the worst hitters in baseball, almost Leury bad.

They have lost 2 of their last 14 so it's hard to conclude their pitching is coming back to earth based on one Bundy start and Ober being on the IL for a start or two.

Winning 6 or 7 in a row would be more indicative of turning it around, but we're seeing the attitude and spark returning after watching a really boring baseball team for about two weeks.  On paper, the team is still pretty good even with the injuries.  The problem was that they were woefully underperforming.  Now we're seeing them perform a little better on offense (still overall sucking) and the pitching being awesome, and that's why they're winning games.  Once the offense comes around, the long losing streak will seem like a distant memory.

I hope...
