Same as on last Friday’s game, TLRshouldhave been told to warm up both a lefty and a righty in the disastrous 8 th inning, when he brought in the lefty Banks to face two right handed sluggers.  TLR is averse to having two relievers up at the same time, as well as to pinch hitters.

I don’t even know if we have enough fingers to point out all of the blame. 

The manager sucks, the players can’t get their heads out of their asses, the front office is incompetent and the owner is trash.

It's a .500 team. I'm not quite ready to get out the pitchforks yet but it is fairly clear playoffs are 50/50 at this point and the over under on wins is probably like 86 instead of 92.

At most a manager might make a 2 game difference tactically over the course of a season. Yea, you want a good one but having a bad tactical manager is something good clubs overcome all the time including uh, the 2021 White Sox.

Shhhhhhhhhh..…nobody will believe the Twins will be anywhere close to 8-10 games over .500 at that point.

Before all the injuries, I said +14 games over .500.

10-6 the next 16 has them at +8.  That’s conservative based on the competition.  I actually think Buxton alone if he doesn’t hurt himself running into walls could outdo some of those entire teams offensively, especially the Tigers and A’s.

Balta had a running count last season.  I think he quit tracking it after like 7-8 games blown directly by poor TLR decisions.

And the line-ups he's running out there?  Are you saying he doesn't take any of the blame today for starting 6 guys who can't hit?  Five of the six hovering between .165-.205?  

When other teams' announcers or MLB commentators are shocked by the poor moves your manager is making, it's a problem.  A major problem.

Are the players underperforming?  Absolutely.  That tends to happen when a team quits on their manager/coach.

I’m going to venture it’s a lot closer to 4-5 losses than just a couple.

There’s no way Yost was nearly this bad in KC…there’s just not. And the proof was/is two World Series teams that weren’t among the most talented on the starting pitching side.  Those teams executed by making consistent contact, played fundamentally sound baseball on both sides, stellar defense, lockdown bullpen and absolutely ran you out of games late with their speed.  We don’t do any of those things well with a HoF manager.

Brilliant defense of La Russa. They're 28th out of 30 in runs scored with a lineup that most people looked at as a preseason strength.

His whole schtick was getting the team ready for games and he sucks at it. Well, that and bullpen management, and he's atrocious at that.

I would have had more respect for Hahn had he resigned after Reinsdorf forced him to hire La Russa! He deserves what he now has.

Veterans peaked before the young core could fully catch up and coalesce as a team together.  Simplistic way of looking at it, but mostly accurate. 

This FEELS from a fan standpoint a lot like the 2016 Royals, to be honest.  Injuries, too many players declining at the same time, too much talent not to hang in there.  The only difference is the Indians had a great team that year.

This year actually looks like it will have more of a 2008 ending to it due to how bad the Central is overall. Survival of the fittest.
