do people care about pinning these? I can't tell if it's nice or if I'm just creating another thing in my life where I will constantly disappoint.

In theory Vera should be pitching tonight. He pitched after Mena last week, but unsure if he has an atypical schedule with the delayed start of the season.

Very Dalquistian start from Dalquist.

Someone school me on swinging strike metrics for pitchers. Is that tracked somewhere? For minor leaguers in particular?

I feel like the amount of swinging strikes Dalquist gets is abysmal. Would love some evidence if it exists. I think he has 4 swinging strikes today so far. 3 of them on the one batter that he struck out.

I like it pinned. Seems a little easier to find but not so many threads that it will be very far down.

I don't think it exists for dalquist. It's weird because fangraphs has a lot of minor league data for swinging strike data (you can find giolito's minor league percentages) but it doesn't have batted ball stats on Dalquist. Maybe if he ever gets up to AAA the statcast data will be available.

Eloy does not seem to be in the lineup for Charlotte. Sheets DHing. Unless Gameday is incorrect.

Was he guaranteed to return tonight?

Probably not. Just going off what Jeff Cohen tweeted earlier.

Sounds like he did take BP today though.

There was a benches clearing incident a few days ago I think? Probably related to that.

Colson lined a double down the RF line in his first AB.

Lenyn Sosa hitting .340 with 13 HRs through 57 games. That's at a young age in a pitchers park. The guy has been absolutely ridiculous. I understand hot streaks, but 57 games is a good sample size. I'm really excited for him.

I've casually followed the system this year, not nearly as intently as I did during the rebuild.

Who in the system has a shot at cracking some mid-season top 100 lists?

Montgomery, Sosa?

Probably, I’m big on Ramos too.
