You realize slaves were property, had no rights, and couldn't quit. Baseball players are well paid and can leave whenever they liked.

To compare the horrors and depravity of slavery to being a baseball player is disgusting.

Thank you.

The Giants are the much better organization to play for right now.  Everything they do has a purpose and plan behind it, both short and long/er term.

A top 5 organization, considering smarts and resources.
What gets me (among other things) is that Hahn spent 4 years collecting castoffs and AAAA players during the rebuilding  phase (as he should have- at least the ones that he didn't trade for) ; not one of them stuck. He waives LH Gonzalez (despite never flopping for the Sox and a LH shortage) and boom!  Six months later, he trades for an organizational minor leaguer because he needs a LH outfielder.  It's ridiculous.  Always reacting, never proactive.

It's hard to be motivated when you do your best and the result is your employer yells at you, implores others to throw 95 MPH league balls at you from 60 feet away, and then permanently blacklists you.

Most workers can quit and go elsewhere. MLB's Anti-Trust exemption makes players slaves with no escape options, living on an Owner's Plantation.

Not only is this insane, but if you truly believed that and were that outraged, I find it odd you would have over 5,700 posts on a message board devoted to a team inside Major League Baseball.

So many things wrong with this post.  I'm as anti-owner as it gets, but this is just disgusting.  MLB's greed is one thing, but to minimize the dehumanizing depravity of chattel slavery by comparing it to MLB's antiquated anti-trust exemption, even in jest, is completely fucked up.  Do Better.

Can we all just agree that Yermin will get called up in time for the July 1 ~ July 3 trip to San Francisco and torch us for 8+ RBI across those 3 games, including a monster home run off of a position player on a 3-0 count with an 11-run lead?

It was probably one of the worst posts I've read on here.  That's saying something since game threads do exist.
