1952, Senator Richard Nixon was a delegate from California to the Republican National Convention that nominated Eisenhower for president - big war between the Eisnehower and Taft forces - Ike was nominated on the first ballot - and then Ike chose Nixon for vice president.

On the first ballot, who did Nixon vote for, for president?

No one will ever guess this.

The opposite of McCarthy.

Earl Warren.

He was the governor of California and the "favorite son" candidate.

I figured when you said that nobody would guess it that it had to be someone wacky. Also he was one of the only Republican politicians I could think of during the early fifties.

FlaSoxxJim got it. Good answer!

During the Animals tour: In what city did Roger Waters spit in a crazy fans face, only to have Gilmour walk off the stage in disgust?

Dang, good question. London?

I do know that it was during this period when Waters got so disenchanted with the "senseless ritual" of live-performing what was becoming some very personal music for fans that were too busy drinking beer and partying to appreciate it. He got to thinking that he'd like to put up a wall between the band and the audience, and voila, the beginning of the next project.

... and now you know the rest of the story.

OK, here's an easy one. Who is Shine On You Crazy Diamond (all 10 parts) written about/for?

Not sure about number two, but if Boise is the capitol of Idaho, we have a winner! :)

An unofficial tribute to Syd Barret.

London is incorrect, Roger Waters spat on a fans face in Montreal.

Oh I'll have to think of another question...
