In the Independant leagues and I'm certain some minor league parks, they have a tradition of passing the hat for homeruns and 7 Ks with the player picking up the cash. I know for a fact, from talking to the pitcher, that he gave up a home run ball in the All-Star Game to a buddy so they could split the cash. They had it prearranged that if the game was out of reach and it wouldn't matter that a fat fast ball would be served up. I really doubt that a major league player, in a game that mattered would give up an intentional run.
