They also think we do not know mechanics.

QUOTE (JBurque @ Jun 17 2004, 10:05 PM)

If Jim Morris can regain a 98 mph fastball, so can Koch

No he can't.

It is something the White Sox coaching staff doesnt understand - mechanics.

I think we know a little something about pitching down here in South Florida...the South Side should take notes. Especially when their North Side brothers have got a stockpile of arms, too.

How come all the major web sites don't even have full story, Whitesox.com, ESPN, and MLB.com don't even mention this, I heard about it on ESPN ticker...I want full details...

Bcause he is a washed up closer, he is not pedro or randy johnson.

It just happened and it isn't earth shattering news. Give it time. ESPN has it on their transaction page.

I will tell you his motivation, he saw a chance to get a decent prospect, get a little money off the books, and not have him give everyone a heart attack when he goes out there.

I predicted the Marlins would be interested in Koch, due to their bullpen problems. They wanted Contreas, but he's 3-0 in his last 4 starts, and might actually stay with the Pinstripes. It'll be very interestin to see how he does with the Fishies. ;)

I saw it on Yahoo sports page,  Sox are giving cash considerations to the Marlins,

doesn't say how much.

I'm thinkin probably half of his $6 mill contract we are paying. Hopefully this will open up some payroll room for us to acquire a Freddy Garcia or Steve Finley type of impact player. :)

Welcome back? I saw you registered in 2002 and well 20 posts and this is the first I have ever seen you

And yeah cash considerations, I would guess around 1-3mil...

Found this on Valdez from an old BA chat wrap earlier this season,

Triple-A middle infielder Wilson Valdez would get the first in-house crack at replacing Castillo, although he has even less pop than Louie.
