When it comes to hitters, I'd go with Barry Bonds, the guy is flat out amazing in his approach. Defensively my favorite player is Darrin Erstad. The guy always hustles and makes tons of great plays. greg775 Posted October 5, 2002 Share Posted October 5, 2002 I like players who I personally consider difference makers. And I may be full of bleep but I think a big difference maker is Jim Thome. I know the Indians stunk this year, but I think if we got him it would be comparable to guys Bill Veeck used to add eons ago to make the Sox competitive and fun. Like Dick Allen, Zisk, Pudge (was he a Veeck guy?). We haven't added a fun player in a long time. So my faves are Thome, Pedro of course, and many of the current Twins.
