BamaDoc 167 Posted February 8, 2005 After an off season that addressed most holes on the Sox, What would you upgrade? If we are talking about utility infielder do you realize how far we have come from previous springs? I am still not sold on Contreras as anything but a #5 and I hope he proves me wrong. thomsonmi 0 Posted February 9, 2005 I am very pleased with the job KW has done in filling holes but if I were able to add anything (dream world) it would be a star shortstop or a Curt Schilling type starting pitcher that could carry the team by shear will during the middle of the summer. Now, if we're talking reality... My guess is that we'll be looking for a veteran starting pitcher before the trade deadline because you can never have too many of those guys during a playoff run.
