ChiSox_Sonix 0 Posted June 11, 2005 As someone has said, he's probably a career minor leaguer, but with those kind of numbers, you never know, maybe he could be a late bloomer? Doubtful, but you never know
mac9001 15 Posted June 11, 2005 Career ML or not he should be promoted to Birmingham.
Jordan4life_2007 0 Posted June 11, 2005 QUOTE(mac9001 @ Jun 10, 2005 -> 08:27 PM) Career ML or not he should be promoted to Birmingham. Exactly. We should see what we have in this guy. Maybe he's a late bloomer.
Randar68 0 Posted June 11, 2005 QUOTE(mac9001 @ Jun 10, 2005 -> 08:27 PM) Career ML or not he should be promoted to Birmingham. Let me know when you figure out where he'd play. Rogo at 1st, Fields at 3rd, and until/Unless Rogo gets promoted, don't expect him to go to Birmingham any time soon.
peanut33tillman 4 Posted June 11, 2005 any relation to diamondback reliever casey daigle?? AKA lucky bastard married to jennie finch...either way a .342 AVG in 234 ABs is very impressive

ChiSox_Sonix 0 Posted June 12, 2005 QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jun 11, 2005 -> 05:49 PM) How do you plan to create room at Charlotte? Call up Norton or release Toca?
Heads22 1,286 Posted June 12, 2005 Toca's leading the team in HR's and both are hitting over .280. It's tough to find solid performers for Charlotte. Besides, I think if there was any inclination to release Toca it would have been when he was suspended.
ChiSox_Sonix 0 Posted June 12, 2005 QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jun 11, 2005 -> 06:06 PM) Toca's leading the team in HR's and both are hitting over .280. It's tough to find solid performers for Charlotte. Besides, I think if there was any inclination to release Toca it would have been when he was suspended. Agreed. But Toca will never sniff Chicago and already has been suspended for violating the substance abuse policy this year. If we need someone to backup 3B or 1B there's a good chance it'll be Norton. Also, with Charlotte so down as it is, their hopes for the playoffs are pretty much done anyways. Rogo is an actual prospect. Daigle isnt...yet...but he has more of a chance than Toca in staying in the organization after this year. Basically my point is they should try and figure something out. mac9001 15 Posted June 12, 2005 Toca and Norton are both worthless, flip a coin and cut one of them.
Heads22 1,286 Posted June 12, 2005 But if teams like BHam are in a pennant race, and Rex alluded to this last year, they aren't as likely to move players unless truly needed. That's why you saw guys like Orionny in Charlotte last year instead of Smith.
