This is one of the two games in hand the Sox have so it's very important.

Not sure why this team would be "done" if they lose today though. It wouldn't help, but unless you're mathematically eliminated you're not "done" I thought.

Here's the only thing I have to say in regards to this game today :gosox1:

Also, no Iguchi in today's lineup.

Well it seems that Gooch gets rested after getting 3 RBIs and a homer last night. Keep resting the starters Ozzie. They will have plenty of rest if they blow this.

It's entirely psychological. It's like 2 years ago when we couldn't get it done against Detroit at the end of the season and they were the worst team in baseball. When you can't get it done in crunch time against teams that you need to beat, with another team clawing its way back against you, how can you expect to get it done when you have to face that team?

Respect the powers of Willie...I see a 2-3 game, with a walk.

0-4

Three failed attemps to "guide" the ball into RF like a professional hitter and one warning-track power shot to straight away center. :)

Let's just get a win today. I don't care how.

Willie is 8-19 since being recalled, if I'm reading all the numbers correctly.
