C Paul Lo Duca

1b A. Pujols / J. Thome

2b. Chase Utley

3b. C. Figgins

SS R. Furcal

OF : G. Sizemore, M. Holliday, T. Hunter, J. Gomes, R. Baldeli

SP : M. Buehrle, C. Lee, D. Haren, J. Bonderman, J. Vazquez, B. McCarthy, E. Santana, T. Glavine

RP : J. Nathan, B. Wickman

12 team yahoo public league, Roto Style.

Overall I dont think its terrible, a few holes IMO in the Rotation / I could use another reliver, and the outfield aint as strong as it should be, but a pretty good team i think.

12 team Roto League. Picked 11th.

Only the 2nd fantasy baseball team I've ever drafted. Be gentle..

C - Posada

1B - Huff, Kotchman (took a flyer on him in the last round)

2B - Cano

3B - Chavez, Beltre (16th round, couldn't resist, will put him in the Utility spot)

SS - Lugo, Uribe

OF - Abreu, Bay, Dye, Wilkerson (18th round - a steal, imho)

SP - C.Zambrano, Harden, Lackey, L.Hernandez, C.Young, Loaiza, Penny.

RP - F.Rodriguez, F.Cordero

Batting average isn't great (it's s***ty actually), and steals are a concern - only Lugo (39), Abreu (31) and Bay (21) got over 20 last year. A third reliever would've been good so I'll probably drop Loiaza or Penny for another RP.

It was a bit of a risky draft, as some of these players underperformed last season, and if they don't "bounce back" I've got no chance.

Rip away..

Well in all of my leagues Wilkerson didn't get drafted at all.

That surprises me.

He's worth a late rounder

He was crap last year in that big ball park, but 32 home runs in 2004 and the fact he's now playing half his games in Arlington, can't be ignored.

I thought the samething. Big bounce back potential. Worth a shot as a late pick.

I like the santana pick, for relievers you could see ir reitsma is available i believe hes closin for atlanta or orvella for tampa, and valverde of arizona, i think your outfield is the weekest

Thx for the tips, and rating.I also think my outfield is weak, thats why i made sure i had many options in the outfield  by drafting 5 OF'ers. Ill see on the closer situation.

I don't think your outfield is that bad. Although I think his average will drop a little, Sizemore looks like a fairly safe 20-20 guy. Hunter is similar, although with a lower average and a little more power. Holliday is a real sleeper that could put up some huge numbers. I'm not entirely thrilled with Baldelli and Gomes though.

You should be alright there, especially since productive outfielders are fairly easy to get in FA. Just try to pick up a fairly consistent veteran (or maybe Delmon Young, he should be a stud) about a month into the season.

Thanks.

I also really am going high on M. Holliday, playing in coors and all, hes on a bunch of my teams.

Another...team.. :o.

C. B. Molina

1b. Todd Helton

2b P. Polanco

3b D. Wright

SS J. Peralta / C. Barmes

OF B. Abreu

OF C. Beltran

OF V. wells

OF. M. Holliday

Bench : Brad Wilkerson

SP : R. Harden, B. Webb, D. Haren, J. Bonderman, J. Vazquez, E. Santana, E. Bedard

RP : B. Jenks, F. Cordero, N. Cotts

I picked cotts for no real reason, same goes with bedard, pitching went fast in the league so i struggled to keep up with my hitting. I think i have a very good team hitting wise, and pitching wise could be good or bad. :P.

In a 11 team keeper league. Can keep 10 guys.

1.V.Martinez

2.M. Giles

3.C.Tracey

4.Jimmy Rollins

5.Ichiro

6.A.Jones

7.B.Bonds

8.Bj Ryan

9.Barry Zito

10. Roy Halladay

I think thats a pretty solid core right? I took over for someone, and I just traded Carl Crawford for Roy Hallady.

That's a pretty good group of guys. You need Bonds to really perform though, since he's your only real shot at an elite player. A lot of your guys are solid but not stellar. I'd look into trading Jones. He's pretty overvalued right now, and I just can't see him putting up the same type of power numbers as he did last year. Even if he did, he doesn't run and has a bad batting average. I'd try trading him for another stud starter.

Pretty good.

I really dont like your 3rd option in the OF / Util

Frank thomas as your util? Thats the best you can get? I bet theirs someone on the free agents that should spark your interest.

Overall a pretty good team, Well good pitching, pretty good closers, Fairly good hitting depending on some things (Jim Thome, and how your third of / util does) also how the combo of having aj and iguchi does. Their not necessary "studs" :P.

But good team, good picking expect if I were you id prolly have got something better then Crede, P. Wilson, M. Bradly, or F. Thomas as the UTIL :P

Well I expect Thomas to put up some RBI's since he's playing on a pretty nice Oakland team and hitting behind Chavez. I think Chavez is a great 3B and drafted Crede solely on being his backup. I expect Milton Bradley to return to his .300/25/95 ways with Oakland.

I think chavez is solid at 3b too.

I dont think you need crede at all on your team, no need for a backup 3bl ike crede. Id suggest dropping him for the first sign of succes from the free-agent players. Milton Bradley im not high on due to his injuries, but if he does go back to .300/25/95 then you have a very nice team going. Thomas - How reliable can he be? I doubt he plays 1/4 a season.

P. Wilson, eh, not the best UTIL / OF guy due to injuries etc.

I just think you coulda got some-one more stable :P. But really, its a pretty good team up-to-down, especially with roy halladay, hes going to have a great year.

Team # 2

10 Team Roto League

C Jorge Posada

1B Lance Berkman

2B Chone Figgins

SS Clint Barmes

3B A-Rod

OF Ichiro

OF Moises Alou

OF Jermaine Dye

Util Lyle Overbay

BN Wily Mo Pena

BN Mike Sweeney

BN Brad Wilkerson

SP Rich Harden

SP Andy Petitte

RP Huston Street

RP Trevor Hoffman

P Josh Beckett

P Zach Duke

P Ervin Santanna

BN Jarrod Washburn

BN Chris Reitsma

I think my outfield is a little weak, but if bonds produces and alou is healthy he could be a steal, and Dye should do better this yr, because sox should have better offense. Wily Mo could also be a steal if he starts.

For a 10 team league, thats not a great team :o.

You sure you got the right team? I dont see any bonds on there?

Ichiro + figgens on same team? I guess thats pretty good, but you deff need some power. Your outfield is exteremly weak. Pitching is mediocre, Harden is great. Pettitte could be good, or great depending on how his offense does. Closers are okay, Hoffman shud be decent-good, Street is good, And reitmesa is a maybe.

Overall? Decent.

I think your hitting lacks, outfield is weak, Berkman isnt my typical first base, but hes solid i suppose. Clint barmes is a question mark, and your pitching is mediocre in a 10 team league. :P.

But wheres bonds? If you have bonds that changes some things

He doesn't have Bonds, he went #12 overall in that league's draft.

Dam :o.

Well, I guess it ain't a terrible team, I would have better options as my UTIL / OF / Maybe SS / 1b (tho Berkman and barmes are by no means-bad.)

And pitchin isn't amazing to me.

But it aint bad, has alot of bright spots with a-rod, figgens, ichiro v. good. And if barmes works out, a very solid team.

Besides the issue that he brought up, I think you need another solid starter. Halladay is obviously a stud, Contreras has potential to dominate, and Haren and Hernandez are pretty good. However, Pavano is an iffy proposition given his history, and Madison is a major wildcard. I wouldn't trade anything of value, just keep your eye out for another starter, preferably a veteran.
