Purple tights under yellow shorts isn't meant to be more of a fashion statement? I don't completely agree with the dress code when they are off the court, but I certainly do agree with standardizing uniforms while on the court. The NBA is certainly within their right. Personally, I also don't like seeing that players now wear something underneath their jerseys. The NBA is a business, a product, and it has uniform regulations just like many other companies do. They have a right to protect their image. And the NBA isn't all that strict. AI gets to wear his sleeve and 'Sheed always has shoe straps flapping all over the place, just to name a couple. Let's be completely honest, it's done more as a fashion statement than for actual use. I realize Brace's deal more with an injury thing but Kobe wore those compression tights because he said they helped him respond in back to back games, etc. Plus it helped keep his muscles warm when he was working back from an injury. I don't go to the game to see what the players wear, I go or watch because I want to see them play. The NBA needs to realize that.
