QUOTE(Brian @ Sep 23, 2006 -> 03:33 AM)
Hopefully not with us.

Just another, "Thanks for 2005 now get the outta here!" to Neal Cotts.

His performance over the last few months has made the 2005 Marte look like Cy Young. Cotts is definitely someone who should be on the trade market.

Here's a question: will Neal Cotts be in the majors next year?

Here come the boo birds tonight. It's too bad Ozzie won't get fired for this mess. He's done an absolutely horrific job of managing during the 2nd half of the season.

i was just thinking back to Cotts first ever appearance for the sox and how he walked everybody in his first start...then i was so impressed with the way he became so dependable...whatever happened to the poor guy?

At least Cliff had an excuse for sucking. What the heck happened to Neal? These guys sell their soul to the devil last year?

Yes....I think we should be forever grateful that guys like Politte and Cotts were two of the best set-up men on the planet. Neither of them are anywhere close to being above average MLB pitchers.

fathom you know very well by now you and I disagree on the importance of the

coaches/managers.

I blame the players. Blow up the actual pitchign staff; not the coach.

No offense to the BA lovers, but is he a worse prospect now than Jeremy Reed/

Borchard?

BA has 32 RBIs this season; good job, Brian.

And an ofer again tonight for BA.

It's a hell of a lot easier to fire a coach than it is to replace a pitching staff...especially one that makes as much money as ours. And I'm sorry greg, but anyone who still thinks Ozzie is a good manager must not be watching the same team that I am. This team has absolutely stopped responding to him over the last two months, and Ozzie's been unable to do the one thing that he's supposed to be good at, which is motivate his team.

I would say that he's EXTREMELY overrated on soxtalk, and underrated by Ozzie Guillen. With that said, I don't anticipate that he's going to be our starting CF next season.

Thankfully we're letting Chris Stewart get some valuable experience in the majors.
