Looks like Scottie hasn't lost a step on the basepaths.
Prancer is a difference maker.
There's a familiar sight. Gotta love the CS -- at least he was aggressive!
So did Mr No Groin have the tag waiting for it, or was it close.
Pods looked SLOOOOOOW on that steal attempt. It almost looked like Paulie on the basepaths. I swear he was half way to second when the ball got there.
the first one.
Not so close at all really, but it was Blanco behind the plate. He owns us on the basepaths.
Pods looked slow all last season. I'm convinced guys like Mackowiak are faster than he is. There's a reason Pods is the first no tool starting outfielder in baseball.
Thats great, hopefully if he doesnt run anymore Ozzie will stop him from throwing outs away trying to remember the past.
I couldn't believe Podsednik didn't even enter the picture when Blanco's throw was in air. The initial jump, from what I could tell, wasn't bad -- he just didn't appear to run quickly. Which isn't very encouraging. Hopefully these CS's don't pile up.
And what the hell is Williams talking about avoiding "middle of the road" pitchers and concentrating on those of high ceilings? What the hell have the last two first round draft picks been, again?
MR. NO GROIN! MR. HASN'T GOT A GROIN!
the throw was really high and off to the left. fortunately for the Cubs, pods was still about 2 seconds from the base when the ball got there.

It was a terrible jump.
I bet the wind gusted also against him when he took off and was a factor
Nope. He didn't need any help with a jump like that. It was that bad.
oh yea, totally. otherwise he would have been out by only 2 steps.
Hah, KW calling for a hit and run
hahahaha, ozzie actually had joe run on the first pitch when kenny suggested it.
Ow, ok, no more calls from KW
1st and 3rd
first to third for Joe and mack going into second. I'll take it.
gooch doing well this spring.
Uh...ok you hear Oz there?
"The key is the bottom of the lineup, with Erstad and Pods back in the lineup."
Says volumes about BA and Chicago this year.
