I can't stop hearing all kinds of crazy rumors about the White Sox.

One, totally unsubstantiated, is Ozzie Guillen will be out as soon as this season ends and that his replacement could be a big surprise to everybody—one of the most well-known managers in baseball.

I'm assuming he means Tony. Why would these guys even write crap like that.

most people think this is the end of LaRussa in St. Louis.

JR knows the biggest mistake he made was listening to hawk and firing Tony in 1986.

doubt it will happen, but I can understand why it is a rumor.

Most people? Didnt he just win a WS title last year?

Just on the hypothetical side, if LaRussa came back and managed I wonder if he would retain Cooper as his pitching coach or if he would bring Dave Duncan along with him. Hawk was talking some serious trash last season about Duncan, I can only imagine what he would or wouldnt say about him if he was with the Sox coaching staff

Hopefully this rumor is true and opens the door for Tom Kelly to swoop in and save our Sox.

Tom Kelly lost the division for the Twins in 2001 by sticking with LaTroy Hawkins as the Twins closer until September. By that time, the door had been shut by the Indians. He'll be 58 next year, and I truly doubt that he'll ever leave the Twins organization.

I doubt it will happen as well, given that Tony is just a season removed from capturing a WS title with what was arguably the least-talented team to ever win a WS.
