I would say how many of those Europeans are going to vote, but with ACORN around, anything is possible.

"6 million absentee ballots form Germany, all for Obama? This just doesn't seem right. "

They've seriously even got you buying in to that Bull now? :crying

Call me crazy, but it makes me wonder when after screaming about election/voter fraud for seven years, the Democrats are suddenly OK with it. They seem to now be OK with everything they accused Bush of just a few short years ago. The best part of all being there is really no way to see how much fraud is in the system because there is no way to check for it at the polls. Plus if they do disquailfy votes, there is always the "disenfranchisement" arguement. Its a win-win. Then again, I didn't register to vote 73 times, so I don't have a problem with some checks and balances in our electoral system.

It is ironic, isn't it?

“There’s no question Western Pennsylvania is a racist area,” said Mr. Murtha, whose district stretches from Johnstown to Washington County. “The older population is more hesitant.”

Who in their right mind would vote for this ass monkey?

About 75% of Western Pennsylvania?

If you're registered to vote 73 times in the same place, you'll still only get to vote once.

But if you are registered in 73 different places......depends on traffic how many times you can vote.

Except, by all accounts, the people that registered to vote 20+ times weren't faking addresses or anything like that, they were just registering to vote, thinking that they were helping someone get paid.

The truth is, if you want to register in 73 different districts for an election, you don't need ACORN to do it. You just need 73 stamps.

Traffic and the ability of people to catch you committing a very obvious felony.

If there is no ID requirement, how do they catch this? Don't they just ask your name?

For some reason I'm drawing a complete blank of the two times I've voted.

For some reason I'm drawing a complete blank of the two times I've voted.

The help America vote act actually required an initial form of ID of some sort be presented the first time you vote if you register to vote by mail, not in person.

HAVA Title III set national standards for the kind of identification that voters must bring to polls. HAVA requires that states mandate ID for the first-time voter who registered by mail, if the registration did not require ID. Any voter who has not previously voted in a federal election must also provide ID.

There are two approved forms of ID -- photo and non-photo. Any current and valid government-issued photo identification fulfills the photo ID requirement. A copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, or other government document with the name and address of the voter fulfills the non-photo ID requirement.

With an initial registration, you are therefore required to provide some evidence that you are the person voting. Once you've voted once or if you do not register to vote by mail, then it falls to the different state's laws.

On Tuesday, the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati sided with the Ohio Republican Party and ordered Brunner to set up a system that provides names of newly registered voters whose driver's license numbers or Social Security numbers don't match records in other government databases.

The GOP contends the information for counties will help prevent fraud.

At least 200,000 newly registered voters have mismatched data, according to an initial review by Brunner's office

This is good

Brunner has called the issue a veiled attempt at disenfranchising voters

of course! only allowed to vote for Obama once in the 2008 presidential election? that is just downright mean.

it seems that some people are hung up on the fact that a plumber makes $250,000 a year. I've only had to call a plumber once and i can honestly say it wasn't cheep. it was a few years ago but IIRC it was like $500 for about an hour of work.

Now if he owns a business that employs a few plumbers and they are all busy then i can see that being possible.

I also hear this guy is tied somehow to someone in the Republican party and that he was a plant in the crowd. That may or may not be true, but the Chosen One didn't know it at the time and answered the question the way he did. It's not like Joe twisted his arm and forced him to answer the way he did.

In Obama's defense, that guy had a super shiny head. Barack could have been temporarily blinded, causing a disorienting effect. I suppose it's just another example of the McCain campaign using unscrupulous tactics to win, if Joe was indeed a GOP operative.

Secret Service visits Lufkin woman after 'death threat' allegation from an Obama campaign volunteer

Click-2-Listen

By JESSICA SAVAGE

The Lufkin Daily News

Monday, October 06, 2008

A Lufkin woman received a surprise visit from the Secret Service last week because of a "death threat" comment she reportedly made about Sen. Barack Obama to a campaign volunteer asking for her support of the presidential candidate.

Two federal agents arrived at Jessica Hughes' home Thursday to ask her if she said, "I will never support Obama and he will wind up dead on a hospital floor."

Jessica and Micah Hughes say two Secret Service agents showed up on their doorstep Thursday after a campaign volunteer for Sen. Barack Obama accused her of making a 'death threat' during a phone conversation a day earlier.

Hughes said her words were deliberately twisted by a volunteer who was apparently unhappy Hughes was rude during a phone conversation the two had. The Lufkin mother, a Republican, said she received a call on her cell phone Wednesday from a woman with the Obama Volunteers of Texarkana.

"She asked if I was an Obama supporter, to which I replied, 'No, I don't support him. Your guy is a socialist who voted four times in the state Senate to let little babies die in hospital closets; I think you should find something better to do with your time.' (And then) I hung up."

(Hughes is referring to a "born alive" Illinois bill that did not pass in the Illinois state Senate in 2005 and had previously been opposed by Obama because he said it undermined Roe v. Wade, according to FactCheck.org, a non-partisan organization. A federal version of the bill, which Obama said he would have supported, passed by unanimous consent and was signed into law by President George W. Bush in 2002.)

Obama Campaign Communications for Texas director Josh Taylor declined to comment Monday, refusing to answer any questions and referring the matter to the Secret Service, which he said is conducting an investigation. A message left with a Secret Service agent in Houston was not immediately returned.

Hughes said she was surprised to see two Secret Service agents at her door, and upset to learn that the conversation she had with the volunteer apparently had not been recorded.

"I find it hard to believe that (campaign volunteers) don't tape these calls. They call people unsolicited and they aren't monitoring the calls or recording them? I think that is absolutely ridiculous," she said.

"I mean, how often must this happen — that someone is rude to a volunteer that they don't want to talk to?"

Hughes said she wants to file a countercomplaint against the volunteer.

"She has made a charge that will follow me the rest of my life," she said.

"I find that repugnant and violating — that some person got her undies in a bundle because she didn't like what I had to say."

NOW, after all these years, Hollywood decides to be non-political.

Warner Brothers block release of 'pro-John McCain film'

Warner Brothers has delayed the re-release of a film about American prisoners of war in Vietnam in case it influences the outcome of the US presidential election.

By Jon Swaine

Last Updated: 11:56AM BST 15 Oct 2008

The re-released version of the film features an interview with John McCain .

The studio has temporarily blocked the release of the DVD version of the 1987 film Hanoi Hilton, which will feature an interview with John McCain, the Republican presidential candidate, about his imprisonment in Hoa Lo prison during the war.

The film, which gave a favourable portrayal of US prisoners, will now be released on November 11 - a week after the election.

Warner Brothers's decision is likely to raise suggestions that it did not want to aid Mr McCain's campaign by highlighting his wartime acts. The Republican candidate, who was a Navy pilot, was tortured during his imprisonment after being shot down over North Vietnam in October 1967.

Barry Meyer, the company's chairman and chief executive, last month attended a fundraising dinner for Barack Obama, Mr McCain's Democratic opponent.

The move has angered Lionel Chetwynd, the film's writer and director, who is a well-known conservative.

"Finding someone in Hollywood who says they don't want to affect the election is like finding a virgin in a brothel," Mr Chetwynd told the New York Times.

The film-maker also complained that other film studios were willing to release and promote films with potential for political influence. W, a biopic of President George W Bush directed by Oliver Stone, is set to be released on Friday.

Ronnee Sass, a spokesman for Warner Brothers, told the New York Times: "It's just us trying to be cautious and not affect the election one way or the other."

Stay classy Dems.....

ST. CLOUD, Minn. -- A St. Cloud man, and self-proclaimed John McCain hater, was arrested Wednesday for putting bags of dog poop in the bed of a pickup truck with McCain-Palin stickers.

Officers responded to the 2300 block of 27th St. S on Wednesday for a complaint of someone dumping dog poop in the back of a pickup truck.

The owner of the truck said he put McCain-Palin campaign stickers on his truck about two weeks ago. Shortly after, he started finding small bags of dog poop in the back of the truck.

Wednesday morning, the owner’s mother saw a neighbor putting bags of poop in the truck and called police.

David Vandelinden, 45, of St. Cloud was identified as the suspect, and admitted to placing the dog poop in the truck because “he hates McCain.”

Vandelinden was issued a $183 fine for littering and unlawful dumping.
