Honestly, though, I haven't seen Egbert throw....does he have a chance to make the back of the pen?

I haven't seen him pitch...who knows what his chances are.

First time seeing Lillibridge hit....about as overmatched as expected.

Well, 6 hits and no earned runs with 9 K in 9 innings isn't a bad showing.

26 PA for Beckham on the spring and he's still yet to strikeout. He and AJ are the only hitters who can claim this.

I think AJ might be more surprising than Beckham.

Paulie ties it up.

And somewhere in Glendale, a lone tear slowly rolls down Jerry Owens' cheek.

The Sox havent sounded all that interested in leading off Getz or Lillibridge. So BA has always been kind of cemented in 4th OF to me. And of course late innings replacement, they liked the way he handled that role last year.

He's been given opportunities most would not have. If he blows it, he can only blame himself. If he doesn't make the team, I wonder if a team would claim him. I can't imagine him having better opportunities than he was presented with the White Sox.

Lillibridge hasn't shown the last 18 months that he could be anything close to a good leadoff man. I'm still hoping KW makes some sort of trade.
