Peavy Rejects Sox Offer; Deal Now Dead

Recommended Posts

QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 21, 2009 -> 02:48 PM)
I'll say it again.

Some here still should still eat crow for ripping the poster on the main site for originally posting this deal.

They must have meant the Padres. The only team that matters to them that starts with the letter P is Patriots.

Wouldn't it be cool if Gar Foreman ran the Pirates, and they traded for David Aardsma?

I can't remember a beat-down this bad since the Rangers game in early 1998.

Not as bad, but didn't Angels tar and feather Sox in 2001 to the tune of 18 or 19 to Love?

I want in!!!

We need to brainstorm then. I was thinking that part of the equation may involve learn Chinese Rosetta Stone software and translating Amway business opportunity literature. Think about it, imagine a pyramid scam where you're the man on top and everyone under you is a monkey paid in bananas.

ESPN 1000 just reported that the White Sox have made an offer to Peavy re-working the $22 million final year of his contract and are waiting for a response from Peavy.

I think the Sox beat Seattle something like 27-1 in 2000.

Absolutely pathetic showing for the White Sox today.

The Silver Lining.... I bet the over for this game. The Twins covered it themselves..... By 11....

Backpay backpay backpay

no way says peavy

is this being reported or your guess?

Because right now, not one dime of that 22m is guaranteed, so if he can get 17m guaranteed and some deferred, it's not the worst deal for him

I'm hearing one of the PTBNL is John Ely though not sure how accurate that is.

They also put a 20-6 hurtin' on the Cardinals in 2006, although the 6 runs for the Cards makes it a lot obscene than today's showing by the Sox.
