That's temporary, pending our FA signing of either Holliday or Bay. ;)

I would love the Sox to sign Holliday. If Olney is correct and he's "only" going to get 3 years at $10-12 million, the Sox money is just as good as anyone else's. Its just with Boras there would be so many other things like out-clauses that could make it a moot point.

Hahn can deal with Boras. Thats how they did it for the last few years with Crede.

Agreed. I'm sick and tired of seeing players and thinking "Hey, they might be a good fit" only to see that they are Boras clients. I can understand not drafting Boras guys in the 1st or signing the big time Boras FA's that want to make a new record for a contract, but the other guys, there's no reason why we shouldn't just send Hahn out to do the negotiating.

He'd be a HUGE acquisition to our lineup.

There's no way KW and Ozzie go into next year with no lefty bat for the middle of the lineup. Also, if we do sign Holliday, we'd probably prefer to save the 6 million or so and go with Thome instead. But it's such a tough decision, because Dye has been so good for us.

i prefer jd to thome as the dh next year too, but having a lefty to break up all those righties helps. especially if jim can keep hitting like he has been

How about we save the April 2010 lineups, for next year guys?

It's fun to look ahead. There are actually young guys to look forward to now with Danks and Beckham and Getz and Allen and Flowers and on and on.
