Throw a side session over the weekend and then start him in Torres "spot" in the rotation on Tuesday. Â And they are definitely still in it to win it. This thing isn't over, not by a long shot. He needs to go into the off season with a good feeling that he came back from his injury (and then the elbow knock) and pitched. Heck if he goes 1.1 innings, he will have doubled Carlos Torres. As long as he is not throwing 60 mph, he should be starting for us. Or at the very least he could be our opener once or twice a week.(btw an opener is a real position in my head, it is basically a second closer who pitches the first inning of games and sets the tone, and it won't be long until every team has one) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
