Norfolk vs. Charlotte, 7:15 PM EDT: Chris Tillman vs Lucas Harrell

Jacksonville vs. Birmingham, 7:05 PM CDT: Brad Stone vs Johnnie Lowe

Wilmington vs. Winston-Salem, 7:00 PM EDT: Jairo Cuevas vs Stephen Sauer

Kannapolis @ Rome, 7:00 PM EDT: Matt Hopps vs Christopher Masters (love this kid)

Tillman's been struggling in AAA (we hit him hard in one of his outings already), so we'll see how our guys fare against him. Masters is a stud IMO (though I thought he would be a future stud reliever cause of his frame), so this might be a tough one for Kanny hitters. I'll update scores and such (or whomever mod or admin wants to edit it, be my guest) later tonight.

Charlotte lost to Norfolk 5-3 Tillman was very good for them.

Harrell: 5 IP 5 H 2 R 2 ER 1 BB 1 SO

Flowers: 1-4, HR, 3 RBI, R. Has a 1.027 OPS so far. Already has 6 BB in 42 ABs (10 last year in 105 Abs) so he's settling in nicely this year.

Danks: 2-4, 2 Ks

Birmingham was down 1-0 in the 4th before the game got suspended.

Morel/Gallagher: combined 2-4, 2 2B

My team W-S lost 10-8 to Wilmington.

Ugly line for Sauer: 4.2 IP 12 H 6 R 6 ER 0 BB 0 SO

Corley and Bellamy combined in the pen: 2.2 IP 0 H 1 BB 3 SO

Gilmore: 2-5, 2B, R, 2 RBI, K

Escobar: 2-5, R, 3 SO

K. Williams: 1-2, 2B, R, RBI, BB

Shelton: 3-4, R, RBI

Kanny won 3-2 in 10 innings against Rome. (Both SP did well for their respected affiliates)

Hopps: 6 IP 5 H 1 R 1 ER 2 BB 1 SO

O'Neil: 2 IP 2 H 0 R 0 ER 1 BB 2 SO

Thompson: 0-3, BB, K

Silverio: 1-4, HR, RBI

Colligan: 1-4, BB

Cheatham: 0-3, R, 2 BB

Gac had a night for them.

Summary:

Danks (302), Flowers (310) and Gilmore (375) continue to rock.

Shelby's (305) looking a lot better so far this season, too. Salvador Sanchez is the only other bright spot among the hitters.

Crossed fingers on Escobar's bat...Silverio seems to be a lost cause, although he did homer, but he's hitting only .167.

Gregory Infante was rocked, Kyle Bellamy sharp.

Thompson at 345 (K/BB) so far on the young season

Are these supposed to be batting averages? And what does 345 for Thompson imply?

He just turned 19. He may be over matched this season, but he could play in Kanny next year and still be at an age appropriate level.

I'm pretty sure that is what he meant. Click on the links I provided though to see the numbers. Usually I narrow my post for game threads more, but it was a busy night. :D
