Isn't he a little old for that league?

EDIT: Based on that video, someone was a fan of Ken Griffey Jr.

21 isn't really "old" for any level. He's not a youngin', he's not a high school draftee, but if he's in A ball next year at 22, he'll be on track.

It's pretty much impossible to make prospect judgments based on guys in rookie leagues. All those are really there for are to see how players handle the adjustment from aluminum bats to wooden bats. Brian Anderson only played 13 games for Great Falls in 2003, but he hit .388 in his time there. For guys who have succeeded at the Division I level, it's usually a breeze.

If they brought him up to finish the season in the SAL with Kannapolis, those results would be a LITTLE more impressive.

Still, for an SEC college player, you really have to see how they fare in the Carolina/Cal/Florida State Leagues before you can make ANY predictions that remotely approximate predictive validity.

So I found a quote while I was looking up why Wilkins hasn't played in 3 games, and I found this quote from him....

"Ken Griffey Jr. was my man ... I've always tried to imitate his swing."
