danman31 65 Posted April 12, 2011 Kevin Moran starting tomorrow for Kannapolis. I guess that means Steven Upchurch is officially a reliever now. Hopefully we hear his velocity jumped.
JPN366 0 Posted April 12, 2011 Hey Mr. Doyle, how long before Terry and Nevin Griffith swap places?
JPN366 0 Posted April 12, 2011 (edited) KW Jr. is on the DL. He was pinch run for the other night due to injury. I wonder who'll take the roster spot in B'ham? Mabee? Gilmore? Or how about Lastings Milledge accepts an assignment to AA? Edited April 12, 2011 by JPN366
witesoxfan 0 Posted April 12, 2011 Hopefully Gallagher keeps hitting. Wouldn't be a bad thing to have another quasi-prospect, even if it is at 1B where the Sox are pretty damn deep. Jordan Danks has only struck out 4 times in 14 plate appearances this year!
NorthSideSox72 401 Posted April 12, 2011 Charlie Shirek is not handling the demotion and shift to the pen well. Jose Martinez starting the season on fire.

JPN366 0 Posted April 12, 2011 QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 12, 2011 -> 07:13 AM) Charlie Shirek is not handling the demotion and shift to the pen well. Ever since that day game last year in B'ham when he hurt his hand, he's been getting lit up. It started before he got hurt though, he was getting shelled in that game before he tried to barehand that liner back up the middle.

ChiSox_Sonix 0 Posted April 12, 2011 QUOTE (kevo880 @ Apr 12, 2011 -> 12:14 PM) This is the best AAA team and worst AA team we have seen in some time I'm hoping Mitchell and Martinez do enough to earn a promo in the second half. Combined with Short that would give Birmingham three OF potentially worth keeping an eye on.
scenario 0 Posted April 12, 2011 QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Apr 12, 2011 -> 11:52 AM) I'm hoping Mitchell and Martinez do enough to earn a promo in the second half. Combined with Short that would give Birmingham three OF potentially worth keeping an eye on. The Barons have decent outfield talent now... not great, but that's not the weakness of the team. The infield is. Pretty horrific. Will be interesting to keep an eye on Seth Loman, but that's about it.
JPN366 0 Posted April 12, 2011 QUOTE (scenario @ Apr 12, 2011 -> 12:07 PM) The Barons have decent outfield talent now... not great, but that's not the weakness of the team. The infield is. Pretty horrific. Will be interesting to keep an eye on Seth Loman, but that's about it. Kuhn is solid, Gilmore should join the team soon. I'm wondering who'll fill the open roster spot now that KW Jr. is on the DL.
