flavum 1,557 Posted July 31, 2011 (edited) Charlotte-- nice start for Stewart. flavum 1,557 Posted July 31, 2011 (edited) If Kuhn finishes strong, I want him up in September playing LF and leading off every day. Assuming the Sox will be 8-10 games out by then. Edited July 31, 2011 by flavum
SoxAce 3,160 Posted July 31, 2011 (edited) Walker is playing CF today and Trayce is in RF. That will probably be a thing we see for the rest of the year. (both guys sox brass like switching to CF each start) And I'll be the first to say Matzek needs a different org. (definitely a mechanic tweak) His arm is too good to be struggling this much in professional ball. Edited July 31, 2011 by SoxAce
fathom 11,073 Posted July 31, 2011 Way too many hits allowed by Stewart in this start.
flavum 1,557 Posted July 31, 2011 Kuhn can bring Addison Reed with him. He might be special.
SoxAce 3,160 Posted July 31, 2011 Reed is really somethin else.

Disco72 0 Posted August 1, 2011 Pretty boring Barons game today. Only two things that stood out to me were Sierra's arm and Jose Martinez's defense. Martinez flashed some good range and an excellent arm. At one point, even my wife commented on a great throw from RF to home on the fly.

JPN366 0 Posted August 1, 2011 The good news...KW Jr. is on the active roster, but hasn't played the past three days. Up until recently, the DL was the only thing keeping him out of the lineup.
ChiliIrishHammock24 819 Posted August 1, 2011 Reed has 90 K and 11 BB in like 60 innings this year. Holy mother of peripherals. Get this kid to the majors if you want a NAILS bullpen. Bruney has been good (more like lucky, actually), but s***, this kid is not mowing down everyone he sees.
caulfield12 4,076 Posted August 1, 2011 QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 31, 2011 -> 05:50 PM) If Kuhn finishes strong, I want him up in September playing LF and leading off every day. Assuming the Sox will be 8-10 games out by then. I'm not so sure Kuhn will even get a chance to play for the Sox this year. Probably not. Viciedo, DeAza, Milledge and Jordan Danks will all be given at-bats first. Kuhn has a much better shot to get extended time in the Arizona Fall League to see exactly how legit he is...and what, if any, permanent position he might be best suited for. I could certainly see Kuhn getting some "Beckham Day Off" at bats.

They'll probably go to making Vizquel's career numbers look better with a few more hits on the resume. Because that's how Ozzie rolls.
