Reality didn't work so good for him on Sat.

Agree with that luckily I had Brandon McCarthy's CG SHO to make up for it. Looking to take down the #1 seed this week to move onto the finals and into the Ca$$h (maybe will help convince the wife to renew the sox season tickets, I am losing that battle right now).

Perhaps Santos has seen enough this year as well and ran into the wall. In any event, that is 4 straight at Minnesota. I realize they are just a shell of the team they normally are, but it's still nice to get some W's against the twinks.

Using Santos as a closer is just more attempted lightening in a bottle.

Strong arm but he's hasn't been vetted - perhaps he just doesn't have the mental toughness of a reliever.

Perhaps he would be better suited as long relief or even as a starter.

They are wasting Sale in the bullpen.

As far as I'm concerned the Sox still don't have a dominant closer.

The games Santos has blown were back-breaking losses - mostly have come with 2 outs and nobody on base.

Might be fun to watch Sale and Santos in the starting rotation.

Would have rather seen Santos get the chance to get the last out. And hell no to making Sale your closer next year

Well Santos is the closer then, and hopefully he can handle it.

You do need a closer even if your team is mediocre to s***ty.

It's nice to have a closer with a heater like Sale.

Seriously, WTF? Santos's fastball averaged 95.1 this year, Sale has averaged 94.8.
