Wilkins off to a good start in AAA so far.

Sanchez is now over .240 but still only has his OPS barely over 600.

For a contact player also know for his "walkability," he still has a long ways to go before he can be given consideration by anyone other than Phil Rogers for a starting spot at SS/2B in the big leagues.

Only 22 walks vs. 47 K's (last year he had more BB's than walks for much of the season) and 11 SB vs. 5 CS. Still has a smaller SLG% than OBP, incredibly.

Kannapolis is an Eric Grabe single from being no-hit through 7. Can't feel bad about Anderson's 0-3 when everyone else is getting shut down.

7 errors in 11 games for Anderson.

edit: and now Grabe has the only two hits.

Anderson on a 9-game hit streak...16-41 (.390)

Nice to see him take off running, clear that the glove needs lots of work though.

I'm thinking Jacob May isn't long for Great Falls.

That's good, as a 3 year college player that should have been well below his playing level. Good to get him some confidence before throwing him into the wild, though.

I've been sort of following the 1B options we have at Charlotte, as obviously Paulie may not be back next year. It'd be nice to see Wilkins run with this opportunity.

Indeed, but my hopes aren't super high.

I'll see Great Falls play next week. Selfishly, so that I can see him play, I hope he's still there. I'm eager to get a look at Basto too.

Kevan Smith has recovered from a slow start to the season and now sporting over an 800 OPS.

Overall, perhaps the best catching prospect in the system, although Phegley's more major league ready, obviously.

Doubt it. They are both the same age. Phegley is dominating Triple A this year, Smith is having decent success at a league he's too old for. Phegley even has better defensive potential from what I've read.

I am hopeful at this point that Grabe has begun to find his stride.
