Not to mention WAR is a counting stat and Sale missed a month.

Arrieta pitched 17.1 less innings than Sale in 2014.

If Arrieta repeats his 2014 season, I don't think it's a stretch to say he's better than Q. That's a big if though, because he had been a bust before then. Q has proved it for several years now.

The thing Arrieta has going for him is that ALL his stuff changed last year. It wasn't like he got lucky. He earned those numbers last year. He struck out more, walked less, gave up less homers, pitched more. What he doesn't have going for him is that he's never done that stuff before. Pitchers are fickle creatures, by and large.

Surprised the Cubs had to give a 2 year deal to Lester's buddy David Ross, but they did for a 2 year/5 million dollar contract. Wellington Castillo is a pretty nice trade chip they have now.

What's funny is that he's going to the get Opening Day start ahead of Montero because of Lester. At least, I think he does.

It's hilarious that Castro was cleared in his first foray into club-shooting-up. So then he went and did it again less than a month later.

It really makes you wonder about that possible rape situation last season

The only thing coming from the Castro camp is "blackmail and extortion". I don't doubt that baseball players in Central/SOuth American have major issues with that when they suddenly become multi-millionaires. But when these instances keep happening to the same player again and again, more than anyone else, it's time to question what the truth really is.

At the very least...Castro needs to start going to different clubs.

cubs are among teams showing interest in stephen drew

? Because they don't have enough infielders or because they're expecting their shortstop to be unavailable opening day due to xxx?
