High School Baseball, and the Draft

Drafting High School players is a joke. Far too often High School hitters get signed right out of the gate, and struggle using wood bats, and are never successful at a professional level. But, the same thing goes for College hitters, because they are still using aluminum. The GM's in the Bigs need to stop spending their money signing 18 year old kids, and start buying wood bats for colleges. :metal

There was a story on this very topic a few weeks ago on either ESPN or FSN. The NCAA and the governing bodies for HS teams are considering going to wooden bats to lessen the number of injuries to, primarily, the pitchers. Everybody knows why this is the case. I think there is a better chance that the NCAA will do this than there is HS's.
