9/13 Doubleheader vs Twins

Recommended Posts

I am jealous of their lineup. We shoudl find a way to acquire Santana, Vargas, Dozier, and get Eduardo back. Their 7/8 hitters in Suzuki & Escobar are probably more dangerous ATM than anything we have at the 5th spot or lower. If the Twins get any pitching at all they will make some noise.

Jose Quintana's run support in 84 career starts. It's an epidemic. 0 runs: 13 times. 1 run: 21 times 2 runs: 18 times

Of course that's been the mantra since 2011....just like with the royals or cubs.

Hughes has been a find, but nolasco not so much. Corriea mostly struggled as well.

Not so easy. Waiting on Gibson and Meyer to develop will require patience...look at the career paths of pitchers like Carlos carrasco kluber or Richards to name a few.

Oh boy, more games against the Twins. I can't believe baseball has this unbalanced schedule. it's really annoying and stupid to play the same teams so many times.

Santana is one of those mystery players. The dude was not that good in the minors then comes up and looks like the second comming.

This is as empty as I've seen the park in a long time

It is also a game that was scheduled with less than a days notice.

Of course...I'm also not sure if the hitters on both teams got the notice.

It's not just the run support, the defense seems to have a habit of screwing him too. Or the umps.

Unless he's in strikeout mode, then it's pretty foolproof.

Jose Quintana with the elusive negative FIP for this game! -.018!

How does that happen?

Once you get to a certain level of dominance it breaks Fangraphs formula. They've acknowledged it, happens every so often. Since its almost impossible to hold it up for a number of games they've let it go as a little quirk.
