DA's "sources" are about as worthwhile as my inferences IMO, neither has any 100% ground in certainty. The Middlebrooks stuff is just hearsay.

I don't believe that many FOs are operating by committee and I don't believe the Sox are either. Committees don't work because there is no accountability. The buck has to stop somewhere and I have a very, very, very hard time believing Hahn would operate without 100% full authority because as an up and coming, young executive it would be career suicide to hitch his wagon to a setup where he is the GM but doesn't have full authority.

KW had about as much to do with the Abreu signing as Clay Davenport (as another voice saying HEY THIS GUY IS GONNA BE REALLY GOOD). Hahn negotiated the deal, just like he negotiated the Sale and Q deals.

I have never gotten the impression that Kenny and Rick aren't of the same mind set when it comes to the direction of the club, so I am not even sure if a "veto" exists, if it would be all of that important anyway.

I agree, that's how I assume things work. I collaborate with some people at work with whom I have a great rapport. We disagree sometimes, but never to the extent that I think a "veto" needs to exist. We just agree on a direction to go in and move on. I assume that's how things are in our FO. Everyone knows that their plan is laden with uncertainty so it is rarely going to be black and white.

I never said my source was accurate but here are some quotes from the actual people that shows your scenerio is wrong

so in other words, JR never sent KW down to see Jose A workout, KW never called JR and

raved about him to JR. and JR never gave the money parameters to sign him.

this was all done by Hahn??? i am a big supporter of Hahn and not much for KW.
