Does anyone else think Doug Fister is now a possibility for the Sox since Scherzer went to Washington?

according the Wash, they want to hold on to Fister, he will command less in FA rt.

second, either way, wash is a great trading partner b/c the sox can fill their missing

pieces with a package of prospects.

second Philly and cole their sp.

lastly cincy

second what should the sox trade anyone..... this team will still get to the wild card.

it is still much better that last yr club. anything can happen. i just don't like to rely on

luck, in this case a huge amount of luck.

I'd trade Melky in a blockbuster and acquire some pieces for him.

Why would a team trade for a player who was a free agent a few weeks ago? Unless the Sox are paying half his contract, which would be even more ridiculous.

We get it, Melky is your new Alex Rios, but he's not going anywhere anytime soon.

You should always be looking to improve your roster, whether it be by trade of a FA/waiver pick-up. But I don't think they NEED to trade anyone now. (well maybe Viciedo)

exactly, DV and his 4.0+ mil a yr contract. and use the money to improve.

even by using half of that 4 mil for a backup is still money saved and maybe

used to get another sp.

There is no decent starting pitcher who is going to be available for $2 million who we wouldn't get on account of Viciedo being in the way. If someone coming off TJS is available for $1-2 million I'm sure we'll have talked to them and have feelers in for whenever that person is willing to sign.

and you are 100% correct, however if the sox brass are going to use salary

spent, some money can be saved with DV. the sox needs to find other ways

to continuing the rebuild.

does anyone have the right answer??? >>> no.

does anyone have the right solution???? >>> no.

with that, i will respect all people's opinions, no

matter what is written and posted.

but sometimes even in my saint like patience, i am

pushed to rebuke.

I'm just hoping for a Ken Rosenthal tweet "The White Sox have talked with Washington about Strasburg/Zimmerman" but I know it won't/can't happen

Again, the price for Stras starts and ends with Rodon. Maybe we could put together the best package for Zimmerman centered around Anderson but I'm not sure.
