It is funny. I am sure this exact story was written in the 70's about your generation.

This was written by a millenial. Yikes.

Anyone out there know someone with experience managing an outbound sales call center in Chicagoland? We were all set with our new call center director and the guy declined last minute because of commute.

Currently looking for HR work...mainly on the Talent Acquisition/Talent Management front. New hire paperwork, background checks, etc...if you know anyone hiring for this, please send me a PM. Thanks.

Wasn't he aware of the commute when he initially accepted?

Just got my first job out of college after a depressing 2 month search.

Sales representative for State Farm.

Congrats!

Good luck. I tried that out of college because I couldn't find anything and I hated it. Just not a sales guy

A week on the job and I already want to gauge my eyes out. I cannot sit for 8 hours a day making phone calls.

I have applied for grad school and to be a GA through athletic administration (sports information work). Grad school is free, and I get a paycheck every week including summer.

So, I might go get my MBA and practice something that I know I will love doing.

Any area you specifically are looking to get into? I honestly don't recommend going to get an MBA so quickly, I think getting some work experience first will help immensely for getting a job after getting an MBA as well.

Phone interview is Monday morning.

Spending a lot of time preparing for this, but it would absolutely be huge.

Similar line of work?

Yeah, energy industry still, but Silicon Valley instead of stodgy utility.

Love to get into an athletic department either in high school or college (preferably college). Sports Information Director or Athletic Director is the dream job.

Yikes...that was a bit different than I expected...did ok, but I suspect not as well as I needed to.

Now I wait...

So the company's recruiter called me yesterday to follow-up on my interview. I was expecting them to schedule an in-person interview, but instead they were just keeping me posted and checking in on my thoughts on how things went. Never really had that happen before.
