bahnsen 0 Posted July 29, 2015 QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 28, 2015 -> 08:19 PM) Jobu took fear from bats. A couple more punching bags to face in Boston, and we miss Pineda and Tanaka in the Yankees series. I'm starting to believe.

Sox 48-50. After 98 last year, KC was 48-50. Then, World Series That is an amazing stat about the Royals being 48-50 last year. If Sox truly have found themselves ... wow. If Rodon, Sale, Q and Shark can keep pitching effectively and Danks do well in 50 percent of his starts. If Melky can keep carrying the offense ... Sox could stay in the WC race maybe. You'd think the law of averages would prevent the Sox from following this winning streak with a long losing streak again. THAT CANT KEEP HAPPENING, CAN IT?? Knackattack 0 Posted July 29, 2015 Soto needs to dh against lefties and catch twice a week against eighties. Avi needs to hit 8th in soto games and 7th in laroche games

CaliSoxFanViaSWside 3,636 Posted July 29, 2015 Just when you think the offense is truly bad because they were last in the league with extra base hits they get 19 extra base hits in 2 games. They still maybe be truly bad but they're streaking now,

If Sox avoid the usual tank job once this winning streak ends, they may finally be in the one-game WC race for good. Edited July 29, 2015 by greg775

chw42 4,437 Posted July 29, 2015 3.5 games back of a pretty mediocre Twins team. Sweep Boston and we should probably be buyers. Hell, the Jays are a game under and they just traded for Tulo.

If (1) the Sox continue to move closer in the WC standings (2) Danks continues to be bad and (3) EJ continues to be awesome in AAA, I'm not opposed to moving Danks to the pen and bringing up EJ to be the 5th starter. Dick Allen 5,591 Posted July 29, 2015 Less than a week ago, the Sox were in last place. They are now just as close to a playoff spot as they are last place. If only Robertson didn't give up that triple to Molina.
Chicago White Sox 8,924 Posted July 29, 2015 QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 07:33 AM) If (1) the Sox continue to move closer in the WC standings (2) Danks continues to be bad and (3) EJ continues to be awesome in AAA, I'm not opposed to moving Danks to the pen and bringing up EJ to be the 5th starter. The problem is we're running out of space in the pen. Robertson Petricka Duke Putnam Webb Jennings Albers Jones (AAA) We do need a long reliever though, and Danks could probably fill that role pretty well, just not sure how you make room for him & Nate.
