The 2015 AZL White Sox - story of a rookie league Championship

The younger-leaning of the two White Sox rookie affiliates won their league championship last week. From a developmental perspective, this is interesting in that the AZL team is what used to be the Bristol team. And that combined team had been awful for years. the fact that they won it all, and that the other rookie club (Great Falls) is also close to a playoff spot, indicate increased potential in the lower end of the system.

Kim Contreras, our AZL correspondant who was there for many games including the big win, wrote this piece - not a prospect analysis, more of a story. This is what it looked like. You should give it a read.

I should have my ass kicked. I live a few miles from Camelback Ranch and not far from the other parks. You can go see these games for free and no one really attends them. I missed a Rodon opportunity last year. I feel like a dope missing a winning Sox team in my backyard.

The good news is, the AFL starts in about a month. You could go check out one of those games. Sox will have 7 or 8 guys there.

That article was awesome the little off the cuff bits and pieces made for a great read.
