Uh I directly quoted you dismissing the rape or sexual assault charges against assange, and anyone could go back to re read that conversation to see how you defended him while leaving our pretty important details and then made that statement.

Just put me on ignore already since you can't help turning random topics into attacks on me.

It's not quite the clinical or technical definition of rape, but it's veering pretty darned close.

Obviously women want to use Trump too, to progress their careers or get some advantage out of it...maybe the smartest ones can tease him but don't actually have to undergo something physical.

This, to me, goes back to the likes of Marilyn Monroe having to get 8-10 illegal abortions when she was just starting out in Hollywood...sleeping with numerous producers. Was that her playing the game to be cast in a role, or men using their power and position to take advantage and assault/rape her, when they knew no actresses would come forward and charge a major studio exec with making an unwanted advance?

How many of Trump's models or pageant contestants did the same?

If more stories come out, how many do we have to hear before using wealth/power to have sex (especially when there are 20-40 year age differences) becomes unacceptable?

If JFK did the same thing but we perceive him to be more attractive/appealing to women, how does that make it any different, if at all? I really doubt someone said they just ignore looking at his hair when they were with him, for example.

More than the p***y word, it's the cheating on his potentially pregnant wife and knowingly pursuing married women that is most ruffling traditional/conservative GOP feathers. Not the actions, but that he was caught bragging red handed.

Just got an e-mail from Jason Kander's campaign in Missouri...they're hammering away at Blunt for not repudiating Trump or withdrawing his endorsement.

This is going to be the case across the country in any tight race...the Democrats will attempt to bleed away every last woman supporting the GOP candidates. At this point, I doubt it backfires. It definitely feels like his first real "enough is enough" moment with the electorate.

The reaction from Republicans will be to double down and attack Clinton and risk coming across as even more insensitive to her. She becomes genuinely sympathetic the more her husband's actions are recounted. Whose side will most women be on here? Seems a foregone conclusion, other than how embarrassed America will be on the international stage over the next month.

Word from some political operative and volunteer types I know is that an open war is raging in state GOP parties over this right now, with mainly the southern ands Midwestern parties wanting to stick behind Trump and the rest wanting to run. Numerous GOP officials have started repudiating him.

All of pence's events have been removed from the campaign's website, and reports have been swirling all day that his camp is apoplectic over this. Non zero chance he steps down.

You might actually have Pence running against Trump the final month...and Donald trying unsuccessfully to remove him from the ballot.

That VP debate has now put Pence and Ryan into a positioning battle for 2020, and Pence has more to gain now pretending Trump doesn't even exist on this planet.

Doubt it. If you want to go that route, then it's because it was Trump himself saying it, not a woman making an accusation. Really don't think race mattered here. Didn't matter when he talked about Rosie.

But I doubt that's it either. The election was going so poorly that the down ballot elections were going to go democrat because of Trump. This is a convenient way to force Trump out and save the other elections. They needed a big enough controversy and they found it.

This is a presidential election market, you buy shares in candidates just like stocks....zero reason it shouldn't reflect perceptions of the race quite accurately.

Look what has happened in the last 2-3 days. Trump is doomed.

Interestingly, maybe even remarkably, Republican House and Senate control has also blipped up the last week. One would expect Dem Senate and GOP House to be the most likely result, and it has led for most of the summer...

QUOTE (raBBit @ Oct 8, 2016 -> 04:54 PM)
This whole election is a fugazi. I can't even get myself to pay attention anymore. Everyday there's leaks on both candidates. Trump said some lewd or insensitive stuff 10 or 20 years ago, everybody acts all shocked and outraged. Clinton has some leak showing hypocrisy or shady business and it just gets spin zoned into it doesn't not matter. This is who he is. That is who she is. I am not sure anything he said in the last 20 years would really surprise me. I am not sure any time the veil is pulled on her it could surprise me either.

We have big mouth business scumbag and lifelong bought out politician scumbag. I just want to fast forward to election day so we could start the HRC presidency and end all the faux outrage.

Few comments. First of all great post. It's actually true.

First Trump: The only thing that surprises me is he ran for President knowing he's done a lot of dirtbag things and said a lot of bad stuff in the past. I have a friend who became a great judge who wouldn't even have more than one drink in college because he knew he might want to be a judge or enter politics and was determined to be a saint in his personal life. He knew anything he did could come back to haunt him. Trump had to know the media would be on a 24-hour a day seven day a week quest to get EVERYTHING he's done that is sleazy regarding women and unscrupulous regarding his business dealings. Yes he's slime, if I'm allowed to call him that. He's a rich selfish ruthless egomaniac. Of course he shouldn't be running. All this stuff was bound to come out with more to come I'm sure. I still think he might throw in the towel BEFORE election day.

All he had going for himself was the fact he wasn't a politician. That still has some allure. America needs a Trump/Fiorina type to take over, but not one that is personally flawed (Trump) or such a business failure (Fiorina). Trump looked good to voters who wanted somebody outside of politics, but the fact he wasn't a politician was his only allure.

But ... Hillary.

I won't go through everything cause you've heard it all from me before. Suffice it to say she is a miserable person and candidate. She just is. But like Rabbit said, it's time to start the HRC Presidency and Chelsea presidency and get the 16-year run over with. You folks that think Hillary is great need to look in the mirror and realize, yes, Trump is a horrific person and candidate but Hillary is also very very very bad in both her personal life and political life. 16 years of Clintons to come is a bad idea, America.

p.s. I do think it will be funny if Trump drops out. Whoever got the tape of this interview from 10 years ago hit the jackpot. It will further the concept of Hillary's coronation/lifetime achievement award of the Presidency. This is the one he'll have a hard time surviving.

Here's how the tape got leaked

http://money.cnn.com/2016/10/07/media/acce...tape/index.html

After the Apprentice sexual harassment story broke on Monday, the Access Hollywood (owned by NBC) producers decided to go digging. They found the clip immediately and passed it off internally to NBC News, with the plan that both would break it. NBC News wasn't sure if they were opening themselves to a lawsuit by releasing it, so they handed it off to the lawyers. The lawyers sat on it all week. Someone else leaked it to Fahrenthold on Friday morning, but it's not clear if the leak came from inside Access Hollywood or from inside NBC News. Access Hollywood got contacted by Fahrenthold late on Friday morning and passed word up the line. NBC then chose to release their story, but Fahrenthold got his out first.

Rumor is that there are two more big drops to come this month, one on par with "grab em by the p****" and one even worse.

You guys never give Greg credit for predicting all this. The fake media scrutiny of Hillary when it doesn't matter; the intense scrutiny of the Republican candidate when it does matter, down the stretch. Like Letterman said, it will be a landslide, just as Greg said as well. Did anybody think Trump was a gentleman weeks ago?

Hillary does win in one regard, although it will be a bit embarrassing for her to hear these things. Trump will go out in a blaze during the final debates. It will be all about Bill's sexual misdeeds and alleged misdeeds. Get ready, Trump has nothing to lose. And Trump won't be caring that Chelsea is in the crowd as he said before as the reason for not bringing it up. Hillary will just say, "I'm not responding to personal attacks about my family members. If anybody made mistakes we'll leave it at that."
