hey y'all, greg doesnt like Hillary. FYI

How come Hillary supporters don't care about her alleged crimes and won't comment on my posts except to point out my disdain for Hillary? That's all I want to know. There are laws in society prohibiting government officials for putting classified information on their private email accounts. People's lives are at stake. If she gets off the hook then please, at least, pardon all those currently in prison for the same activity. Yes, I will shut up if all who are in prison are released for the same activity.

I also don't like Hillary's defense in all this. She just says "I didn't do that." "I'd never do that." "This is a partisan witch hunt." Hopefully she'll have to go to trial where those answers won't be good enough.

This is the 900th time you've asked "HOW COME NOBODY WILL ANSWER ME." People have argued with you, you just tune them out and listen to Limbaugh instead. Trying to convince you of anything is an exercise in pointlessness.

How come Trump supporters don't care about his alleged Trumpism? Okay, I made that up. Seriously, Hillary did something wrong and even referred to it in some emails. I agree that there are issues there, but I'm tired of all of the propoganda on both sides. The liberal media this or blah blah blah.

At some point, are the parties going to start working with each other to actually solve issues instead of stand on pedestals and spew nonsense. I watched the democratic debate (I don't know if it was live or what, but was on CNN late last night) and I was like, oh, maybe my alternative choice to Trump isn't so great, maybe I'm better to stick to my write-in approach. The pandering on the liberal side is just crazy to me...I honestly can't believe some of the rheteroic just to ensure you get a vote, but than I watch the righties and they clearly do it too...Trump has mastered it with all of his theatrics.

Whole thing is disagraceful in my eyes and I'd like to consider myself a pretty open minded and moderate conservative. But there in lies the problem...that doesn't fly in the "conservative" movement anymore. Everyone is on theory and no one is willing to get anything actually done. I hear it all the time from my old man...liberal media wants you to believe...like hell, I might be a sucker, okay, I am like everyone else in this planet, to some extent a sucker, but I can listen to people talk and I come up to my own conclusions (rational or irrational...rational to me, who the hell knows what someone else thinks) but I have never shook my head more at the state of everything. From the left wanting to hand and promise so many things that are impossible to do to the right who wants to veto every single thing that happened in the past 7 years for some principal. I don't give a f*** about what your going to veto, tell me what you are going to fix, tell me you are going to reach across the aisle and accomplish something.

The only people who lose on this war on rhetoric is....you guessed it...the people. None of us win in this game between the right and the left. A healthy balance is critical. Makes you want to re-write the constitution to create some form of an amendment to the bill of rights or something that would somehow help / force parties to work together or something.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/cli...e7df_story.html

This is no partisan witch hunt folks. Get used to Bernie time. For Bernie is waiting in the wings if jail comes calling

p.s.

Please read the last part of the article ...

It says, "Under the law, gross negligence in handling classified material is all that’s required for a government official to face criminal charges. At this point, is there anyone who can honestly say that Clinton wasn’t being grossly negligent?"

I ask you: I know some want Hillary to be president as part of a lifetime achievement award. They want her in there because she it's her turn. But at some point in most baseball seasons when you realize your team is not good enough to win, you finally give up. Why can't America "give up" on Hillary and realize what she did was criminal? If somebody does what she did she must pay. All I ask is she be prosecuted like anybody else in government who does what she did.

please stop linking to garbage sites like Investors Business Daily in this thread thanks in advance!

Excellent post. You should send it to CNN or somebody. It's a great state of America today and they should read it on TV. We're all fed up and that's why many of us want somebody new like Trump or Bernie. Yes an actor like Ronald Reagan. Somebody!

Bernie should be proud he won a state like Michigan. Nice W by Bernie up there.

p.s. I just watched Bernie's town hall meeting. As much as I despise Hillary, that's how much I like Bernie. I could see voting for him which amazingly would be my second Democratic vote in a row. Yes I voted for Obama over the creep, Romney.

as greg said in a later post, this is an excellent post and all true in you pov. esp the bold, my take is, we the voters had to deal with congress who vehemently hated the current administration, maybe a lot had to do with racialism, my personal opinion. but instead of just arbitrarily veto everything, the politician are to represent us, the people, work to make it better, to improve a system that needs to be fix. this system is better today than 20 yrs ago, 30 yrs ago, but it can be better.

there are alot of smart people in america, take advantage of what they can bring to the table.

and as greg said, you should send your post national to some media network.

great job.

Surprising win by Sanders last night in Michigan, outperforming the handful of polls by 20 points. We'll have to see how much this holds up in the rest of the rust belt states, and as Clinton learned in 2008, winning states isn't as important as winning delegates and he still has a long battle for that.

Cruz the radical

Last year FiveThirtyEight.com analyzed the voting records, public policy statements, and fundraising sources of 32 major Republican presidential candidates, going all the way back to Barry Goldwater, and concluded that Cruz was the most right-wing candidate out of this entire group.

Per this analysis, Cruz is far more right-wing than such relatively “liberal” figures — all from that distant era before the Republican Party was taken over by hard-right ideologues — as Richard Nixon, Bob Dole and George H.W. Bush. He is also much more right-wing than Mitt Romney and John McCain. But that isn’t the half of it: based on their respective political records, Ted Cruz makes Newt Gingrich, Ronald Reagan and the current Tea Party-dominated Republican Congress look liberal by comparison.

Here’s a good way to appreciate just how far right you have to go to get to Ted Cruz territory: imagine how left-wing a Democratic presidential candidate would have to be to be Cruz’s mirror image. Such a candidate would have to make George McGovern and the 1970s Congress, dominated by liberal Democrats, look conservative.

To get that far left, we would have to be talking about someone who, for example, would be pushing for eliminating private healthcare, outlawing handgun ownership, guaranteeing a minimum personal income, putting a $5 per gallon tax on gasoline, and imposing a 100 percent estate tax.

And to make the analogy complete, the Democratic candidate’s father would be an unapologetic Maoist, who thought the Cultural Revolution was a great idea, and who advocated limiting political power to avowed atheists, while the candidate was sending his father to campaign events to represent him.

Over the past half-century, the GOP has gradually transformed itself from a moderately conservative institution into a hard right social movement. And Ted Cruz represents the far right wing of a party that has gotten so radicalized that it would be barely recognizable to Dwight Eisenhower.

This November Americans will likely face the choice of voting for either, on the one hand, the contemporary equivalent of Eisenhower, and on the other, either a quasi-fascist at the head of a bargain basement cult of personality, or someone who thinks Barry Goldwater was too liberal.

What the very smart people at FiveThirtyEight.com missed, in other words, is that the GOP has been taken over by the most radical forces in an already-radicalized party. No wonder that, in the space of a few months, the almost inconceivable has become the all-but inevitable.

It still makes me laugh that people honestly believed guys like McCain and Romney were radical right wingers.

McCain and more so Romney ran on platforms that were right-wing compared to say Rockefeller Republicans of the 60's and 70's but are pretty standard for the modern right-wing dominated GOP. As the article notes, Cruz is much further to the right of either of them.

I linked it because I liked the part imagining when an equivalent left-wing version of Cruz would need to look like.

Is it really a surprise to people that Cruz is the farthest right of anybody ever to run? It's been pretty obvious to me.

It shouldn't be, but Trump's bombastic nationalism is providing at least a little cover for Cruz's radicalism. I'd imagine most people who aren't politically engaged enough to waste time posting about it on message boards really aren't all that familiar with Cruz at this point, though that would definitely change heading into the general if he were the nominee.

Teaparty movement didn't exist. Mabye Palin was always extreme, but I never had that radical perception of her prior to that (hell, I didn't even know who she was prior to that).

Because she is well connected and there is a vast conspiracy to have her elected President. Of course it isn't a coincidence that the President is of the same party. Basically the Demon-crates have taken over the world.

Feel better?

I always thought that nomination was about the female demographic, not about appealing to certain political ideals. And obviously it failed miserably, but that's another discussion.

I was relieved Romney was the nominee, and do think his resume leading up to the campaign was moderate - a relief to me. But lets not forget, he did not run as a moderate. He was the nominee in the height of the GOP thinking the tea party movement was actually about drastically cutting down government, and not 100% just white tribalism.

Its been a pretty successful gop model for several decades, and aside from the presidency, they still dominate many federal state and local elections.
