What that means, you can make your own interpretation. How I take it is that the Sox interest is for real. Hayes tweets that Sox and Desmond are "in talks" not considering or anything like that, but actually discussing possible contract. Over the 40 man limit doesn't really matter. There are about 5-6 guys that could clear waivers.
